Steelfinne Fabrications are proud to present our groundbreaking Aluminium Secure Framing (ASF) system. Manufactured in Australia, ASF is a high security aluminium door and window framing system that has been specifically designed to perform under severe operating conditions whilst maintaining a sleek aesthetically softer presentation of aluminium.

We understand that due to a lack of available offerings on the market, steel windows have often been chosen as a compromise where commercially available aluminium offerings did not meet the operational demands placed on them. That’s why we have developed ASF, which combines the robust properties of steel, the manufacturing and commercial benefits of aluminium, and design elements suitable for high security environments.

The system is designed to be secure and tamper-proof, with non-removable capping that prevents unauthorized access and removal of any fixings. The frame is optimised with a heavily increased wall thickness and geometry which distributes stress evenly across the frame. This increases the overall strength and resistance to impacts to perform in the intended installation environments.

Design Features

Both systems offer:

  • Heavily increased wall thickness for added strength and durability.

  • Geometry that increases strength.

  • Reduction of sharp corners and climbing opportunities to reduce potential for injury.

  • Non-removable capping that conceals fixings once installed. The capping is sacrificial, requiring mechanical removal and therefore replacement when being reglazed.

  • Easily integrated in projects where steel systems have been historically used.

  • Designed to accept commonly specified glazing and hardware, including Steelfinne HVA hinges.

  • Perfect for where secure framing is required without compromising aesthetics.

Glazing Frame

Glazing frames can be selected to suit varying glass thicknesses, 6-60mm shown.

Installation

Frames are pre-fabricated and can be quickly installed on site with minimal tools, making it an efficient and cost-effective solution for secure door and window installations. The system is modular allowing for door and window combinations to be built.

Both framing systems have retrofitting ability through the door or glazing rebate, which once installed, a non-removable capping completely conceals all fixings. A variety of brackets may also be fixed to the frame where retrofitting through the frame is not appropriate. This allows them to be built in or fit off to structural steel.
